Mooresville Graded School District to Pilot a Smartphone App for School Menus at Mooresville High SchoolYes, even for school lunch, there is an app for that!In today’s technology driven world, the nutrition program at Mooresville Graded School District is both keeping pace and leading the charge. The nutrition program is piloting their very own mobile app for school menus at Mooresville High School for the month of May.The free app, called School Lunch by Nutrislice, is available in the Apple App Store for iPhones and in Google Playfor Android phones. The district’s app also connects to an interactive website to be able to access menus online. The smartphone app shows each day’s menu, including pictures and descriptions of the foods. It also lists nutritional information for each food.Child Nutrition Services would love to hear feedback from students about your thoughts about the new mobile app and whether you would like to see an app permanently implemented for the 2014-2015 school year. Please feel free to share your thoughts with by speaking with your cafeteria staff or by emailing Child Nutrition Services directly atkmccall@mgsd.k12.nc.us or samaracollins@mgsd.k12.nc.us.
